PlasmaCAM Has a New Tech Support Policy!

November 24th, 2006

For years users of the PlasmaCAM 98-Z and DHC machines have not been happy with the length of support offered by PlasmaCAM. This highly popular CNC cutting table along with user friendly software has been used by small shops and large businesses. In the last few weeks PlasmaCAM has anounced a long awaited change to some of its policies in the area of Tech Support, Warranty, and Transfer of Ownership.

Old Policy:

  • With a new machine users received 90 days of free technical support.

  • The parts also were covered in this 90 day period.

  • If you bought a used machine, you had to pay a $500 Transfer of Ownership fee to buy parts for the machine.

New Policy:

  • With a new machine users get 3 years of technical support!

  • Parts are covered for 1 year by the warranty.

  • Current users get free tech support until further notice.

  • There is no longer a Transfer of Ownership fee.

With this new policy, we hope all current owners take this opportunity to make sure their machines are up and running correctly. With prospective users we hope this will help in your decision making process and hope to help you in your future CNC plasma cutting ventures. Plasma Cutting for Custom Cars

November 10th, 2006

Plasma Cutting has many possibilities. Most of the time when I think of hobby plasma cnc work I think of artsy things people make for their yards and such.

This changed the other day when I ran into PlasmaCAMs site. There they had a video about a Fabricator named Eddie Paul. The video they had streaming on their site showed him build some fantastic custom cars for hollywood. This really opened my eyes to the possibilities of cnc plasma cutting.
